GELON

Maison du Gelon takes its name from the river. The edition takes its number from the year. Not a show piece. A watch made carefully, in a small number, to the standard of one that has already kept a family’s time.

MAISON DU GELON

In 1860 a watch was made in Chamoux-sur-Gelon, in the valley Maison du Gelon is named for. It was made to be carried. The arrangement of the movement was kept in the family, as the fitting that stopped it from quitting.

It was still running when it was worn through the Resistance, on the wrist of a man wounded by shrapnel and later decorated. It was still running after the war, walking the post round through the Val Gelon. Other watches from that century are in drawers. This one kept the time.

Gelon 1860 is that standard, resumed. Twenty-five watches, each one individually numbered. One of them can be yours.
